Fish & chips were great, so was the S' mores ice cream. Stop here, worth the wait if there's a line. Just note that there is a campground nearby so off-peak times might be best on holiday weekends.

Stopped here for dinner with our dog, sat in the empty back patio away from everyone else for both quiet and to not bother anyone with our energetic puppy. Right before our food came out a family of maybe 10 total (mostly children) chose to sit right next to us, the children all sat at the table (screaming the whole while) where our puppy was laying under. The manager or owner came over while we were eating seeing we were not enjoying our evening through no fault of the restaurant and compensated us each a t-shirt. The gesture was very much appreciated and we went back other times during our visit, and will now recommend this place.

Just tried Cobie's this evening, wanted to post some feedback for others. Let me say first that I'm predisposed to loving no-frills, counter service seafood places (aka “clam shacks”). I've tried at least 15 different places across the Cape and north shore. Some of my family's go-tos are clams, lobster rolls, and scallops. Cobie's pros: friendly, fast service, clean facilities, fair prices, and the excellent onions rings (which other reviews have mentioned). Cons: pretty much the rest of the food. The clams were fresh, well-cleaned, large bellies, but the fry job and batter were pretty awful: not crisp, and dripping with oil. Scallops were the same. I'm not sure why the fry job on the onion rings is so good but they can't replicate it with the rest of the fried food. The lobster roll had a decent amount of fresh lobster meat, nice roll, but could use at least SOME mayo or hot butter. I realize this is a subjective thing, and some people like a completely mayo and butter-free roll. Fries were just okay. Also note that portion sizes are modest (not small, just not crazy huge like some places). In sum, with so many similar options in the area, I don't see myself returning to Cobie's, unless they can figure out how to improve their technique and consistency.
