  Let me start by saying that I loved Ardeo when it was in Yarmouth. Tonight I tried the Brewster location and legit had one of the worst meals of my life (which includes my own cooking, and I can't cook). The bartender didn't know how to make an Irish coffee, first of all. The Middle East Mezza is supposed to include baba ganough, but they substituted stuffed grape leaves without asking and when I inquired the waiter tried to tell me that the chick pea salad was baba ganough. What the..? The falafel was the only edible part of an appetizer that used to be my main reason for eating at Ardeo. Then the candied walnut and gorgonzola salad DID NOT HAVE WALNUTS. We discovered that the kitchen was out of them only after I asked, at which point they tried to give me a saucer of sliced almonds. Said salad was also full of raisins, which I don't care for, and which I was told always come in the salad. The menu says grapes, not raisins, but... I'll give them that one on a technicality. The fried onion pieces described by the menu were straight up onion rings, though. I've had that salad a dozen times before, and this one resembled the others in name only. My friend's burger was burnt outside and bleeding inside and the bun was super saturated with grease. So gross. Even the ketchup that came with the fries looked like it had been in its ramekin since last summer. It was a nearly solid. For real. To the restaurant's credit, they refunded the entries. We were told that the owner was coming out to talk with us, but they never did. I might be less indignant if the food hadn't been so exceptional at the other location. Oh, Ardeo... how far you have fallen.

  Went there for the first time and enjoyed a great lunch with friends. The clam chowder and Italian chicken got high marks. Despite the shortage of waitstaff the waiter was prompt and attentive. It turns out he was also one of the chefs and he was able to make excellent recommendations from the menu. We will definitely try the brunch on Sunday.
  
  Returned for the Sunday brunch with a party of eight and we were all very pleased with the meal and service. The crab cake Benedict was a popular item. The beef with horseradish sauce was excellent as well. We will definitely be back.

  I must say that I had a bad meal tonight at Ardeo. I posted a negative review but then decided to call the restaurant directly and tell them about my experience. To their credit, they reimbursed me for my purchase. They mean to do well and they appear to be sincere about trying to deliver good food and service. Tonight they let me down, but I credit them with making good and with being honest.
